We understand the importance of making sure the natural health and wellness products you receive are in their best condition. We take extra care of products which may be impacted by heat or light.
Products that are best kept refrigerated remain chilled until packed and dispatched. We always keep our stock out of direct sunlight and away from direct heat sources.
We also have a range of shelf-stable probiotics available that don’t require refrigeration.
Manufacturer's guidelines for heat-sensitive products:
Products should be kept below 25 degrees Celsius in dry conditions.
Probiotics that require refrigeration
Store in the fridge as much as possible. Manufacturers add overage (more probiotics than what is on the label) to account for some loss of potency during shipping. Overage allows for 1 – 2 weeks of the product at room temperature.
Store in the fridge once opened. Manufacturers flush bottles with inert gas to help prevent oxidation. Keep lid tightly closed once opened.
Do you send probiotics in chilled packaging?
All our orders are sent un-refrigerated, and dispatched on the first available courier, with our standard eco-friendly recyclable packaging. This is typically 1-2 working days after placing your order, and are delivered with NZ Post overnight courier service.
Our Probiotics range are designed to travel in this way.
What if I order over the weekend?
Heat sensitive products are generally fine during weekend orders, but we always recommend placing your order for these sorts of items at the beginning of the week.
Will my local courier be notified about these products?
We can’t guarantee that your courier driver will be aware of this. If you have a cool spot where you’d like the parcel left, you can make sure you note this in the ‘Delivery Instructions’ field at checkout, or set it up as your 'Leave my parcel' preference with NZ Post.
We also have many shelf-stable probiotics which don’t require refrigeration.
Australia and international customers:
All our orders are sent un-refrigerated.
We take no responsibility for orders containing products that aren’t stable at room temperature.
We also can’t accept the return of these items from international orders.
